I'm glad I taped. I cannot believe how good my song sounded. Even in these early stages of learning  I am just stunned. I thought it sounded terrible!!!!! And I could really hear how all the instructions improved my voice. Janet, you are the right teacher for me!!!!!

I had auditioned to join the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir around this time and was accepted although I was aware of my lack of training. I immediately asked Janet for a series of 9 lessons in which I received an excellent grounding on the basics of singing. The next years I was accepted into the much smaller Mendelssohn Singers and definitely feel that I belong there.

With Janet, the emphasis is on making music and finding the emotional content of the song. At the same time, she has many helpful aids to improve range and vocal quality. I highly recommend her as a soloist and also a voice teacher."
